Placed under the high patronage of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, represented on this occasion by Mr. Emmanuel Sadi, Minister of Communication, Government Spokesperson, the solemn opening ceremony of SAGO 2026 was held today, June 8th, in the presence of several members of government.
Led by Mr. Ottou, Technical Advisor No. 1, the Camtel delegation was strongly represented through its three Business Units. The historical telecommunications operator thus reaffirmed its role as leader on the national digital stage.
Highlight of the day: The visit to Camtel’s institutional stand by the Prime Minister’s representative. Particularly interested, the senior government official was given a detailed presentation of Camtel’s Tier 3 certified data center located in Zamengoé, and its many digital advantages. This exchange highlighted the role of this infrastructure in guaranteeing Cameroon’s digital sovereignty.
Visibility : The Business Unit Transport spared no effort. The prestigious Camtel entity rolled out striking branding on this first day to strengthen its reputation and increase its footprint with the general public.
The program continues tomorrow with a highly anticipated conference. Camtel will host its panel starting at 2:00 p.m. sharp to delve deeper into the issues of the data center and Cameroon’s digital sovereignty.
