The date has been set. Camtel’s Transport Business Unit will be audited from 31 August to 4 September 2026. According to ISO, the global body specialising in certification, Camtel’s Quality Management System must have demonstrated its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer requirements and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Bureau Veritas’s visit to the Transport Business Unit’s facilities this September 2026 is therefore no trivial matter. The auditors will scrutinise every tool Camtel has at its disposal to provide a high-quality service to its customers.
To retain its ISO 9001:2015 certification in the transport sector, which was awarded in June 2020, the experts’ report should confirm that Camtel’s management system complies with all the requirements of the audit standard, that Camtel has effectively implemented the objectives set out in its plan following its last audit, and that the quality management system applicable here is capable of meeting the relevant legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.
A little open secret: it is common knowledge at Camtel that Change Management is one of the cornerstones underpinning the management policy adopted by the Managing Director from the very outset of her appointment at the helm of our esteemed institution. This approach has ushered in a cultural ‘New Deal’ within Cameroon Telecommunications. Once this direction was set in motion, complacency immediately gave way to a high-quality management system where professionalism is now the golden rule. Over time – and this can be stated without hesitation – the Blue brand has become more competitive in every respect. A diligent customer-centric approach is ensuring an increasingly satisfied customer base. Admittedly, this concept still has room for improvement, but the potential for growth is simply staggering.
