Yaoundé, Wednesday, April 8, 2026 — The Camtel–Avanti Communications partnership reached a major milestone during a ceremony held at the headquarters of Cameroon Telecommunications. The event was honored by the presence of Matt Woods, the United Kingdom’s High Commissioner to Cameroon, highlighting the strategic importance of this international collaboration.
The Avanti delegation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kyle Whitehill, based in the United Kingdom, comprised five influential members. On Camtel’s side, the strong delegation, headed by Mrs. Judith Yah Sunday épse Achidi, demonstrated great enthusiasm for advancing and implementing the projects discussed during the meeting.
Mrs. Bih Kuko épse Tabot, Deputy Director of the Business Unit Transport at Camtel, was entrusted by the General Manager of Camtel with moderating the discussions-a key role to ensure constructive and productive exchanges.
The discussions mainly focused on three key areas:
• The pooling of infrastructure and resources to optimize efficiency,
• Technological and operational strengthening in the telecommunications sector through VSAT,
• The identification of new joint project opportunities to expand the reach and impact of services.
This meeting reflects the shared commitment of both operators to a sustainable partnership and promises to open up new prospects for the telecommunications sector in Cameroon. It also marks the beginning of a new chapter in Camtel’s technological evolution, with a strong emphasis on innovation, connectivity, and the development of strategic projects at both national and international levels.
The ceremony thus formalized a strategic partnership where international expertise and local know-how come together to strengthen the presence of Camtel’s VSAT and position the operator at the heart of tomorrow’s telecom innovations.
